Coco and the Bee

I created "Coco and the Bee" for ART 428: Digital Imaging Studio. This project explores the concept of photo novel animation. I have always been drawn to the show's collage-style animation and wanted to try it, especially since I enjoy working with mixed media. Although I have done some small animations using Procreate, I had never attempted a project of this scale before. I was curious to see if I would enjoy the process, and I did! I plan to use this animation style more in the future.

The inspiration for my project stemmed from the "Charlie and Lola" story about two siblings and their dog, which reminded me of my own family. Based on a real-life event, I created a story featuring my dog, Coco, as the main character. This would be enjoyable and relatable for many people. My goal is to share this story so that others can have a good laugh and de-stress, especially with the antics of my silly dog. For this project, I used Adobe After Effects and Procreate.
